Minnesota Toddler Care & Education Center

At Today’s Life Schools & Child Care, your child’s growth, safety, and success come first. We create a caring, secure space where your child can learn, explore, and thrive. Our trained staff focuses on meeting your child’s unique needs every day. You can trust us to give your child the attention, care, and support they deserve in a safe and nurturing environment.

Classroom

Your toddler (16–33 months) will explore, play, and learn in a fun, sensory-rich classroom. With cozy spaces and activity centers, your child can enjoy both group and solo play. Each area is filled with age-appropriate toys to support every stage of development and keep your toddler engaged.

Our daily schedule helps your child feel comfortable by knowing what to expect each day. Group time includes fun lessons on colors, numbers, letters, and shapes. Your child will also learn how to sit quietly, listen to the teacher, take turns, and practice patience – all important skills that support both learning and social development.

Your toddler is learning to communicate and connect with others. We support this growth by teaching sign language and encouraging you to use it at home. Your child will enjoy rich language experiences through stories, games, music, and play. Our Spanish program introduces basic vocabulary and sounds, helping build early language skills. We know toddlers have lots of energy, so we plan active play every day. Your child will walk, run, and climb in our indoor and outdoor spaces. Music and dance are also part of our daily routine, giving your child more ways to move and express themselves. Every activity is designed to support learning, creativity, and physical development in a fun, engaging way. We focus on helping your child grow in all areas through joyful, hands-on experiences.

We help your toddler grow through fun activities that build sensory skills, spark imagination, and support movement. Your child will explore art, dance, play, and motor skills.

Our caregivers help your child with potty training, independence, and self-help skills. Teachers stay at your child’s level, offering support, encouragement, and celebrating every milestone.

Health and Safety

Your child’s safety is our top priority. We keep a low ratio of one teacher for every seven toddlers to ensure close supervision at all times. Every staff member completes safety training before starting, including Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Abusive Head Trauma (AHT). This training is renewed each year. We also follow safe sleep practices during nap time. At Today’s Life, we work hard to give your child the same level of care, safety, and comfort they receive at home.

We follow strict safety and sanitation rules. To help keep your child healthy and prevent the spread of germs, we wash and sanitize toys and equipment several times a day.

Meals and Snacks

Good nutrition supports your child’s healthy growth and development. At Today’s Life, we provide a morning snack, hot lunch, and afternoon snack each day. We also help your child build independence by practicing self-feeding, using silverware, and drinking from an open cup. We encourage children to keep their area clean.

If you have concerns about your child’s nutrition or need a special diet, just give us a call. We’re happy to help and will work with you to find the right solution.

Communication

We know it’s not easy to trust someone else with your child’s care. That’s why we keep you informed every day with reports about your child’s activities and care. You’ll know what your child did and how their day went. You can also meet with your child’s teacher during our twice-a-year parent conferences to talk more in-depth.

Enrichment Program

Your child benefits from more than just classroom learning. In our enrichment program, your child will enjoy daily activities like Spanish, music, and obstacle courses. These fun experiences help your child learn new skills every day.

Why choose our toddler care program?

Our facility offers a safe and nurturing environment for your toddler. Our experienced team is committed to providing the highest quality care and helping children reach developmental milestones, build social skills, improve self-confidence, and foster healthy independence.

Your toddler will participate in activities that can help them develop essential skills such as language, communication, problem solving and self control. Our program also offers a fun atmosphere that allows them to explore their world through play-based learning activities. Our curriculum includes social activities, free play activities, creativity and imagination activities, physical activity, and cooperative games.

Safety is always our top priority. All of our staff members have valid qualifications and are trained to care for young children. In addition, we’ve implemented strict policies regarding hygiene practices, the appropriate use of toys and learning tools, and outside visitors.

There are a few key factors to consider when choosing a toddler care program. The staff should be caring and knowledgeable about toddler development. They should have adequate training in early childhood education and safety protocols. The facility should be clean, safe, and offer activities that support the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of young children.

Poorly-run toddler care centers often have a low staff-to-child ratio, which can lead to unsafe conditions. Other “red flags” include a lack of age-appropriate activities, an unclean facility, and insufficient safety protocols. Caregivers in these low-quality programs often engage in unprofessional behavior such as verbal abuse. They may neglect the needs of those in their care. This is why it is important to read reviews and ask the right questions when searching for the right program.

Today’s Life has a summer program fee, the cost varies each year based on planned activities and a yearly fee that is due each year in January.

Today’s Life encourages parents and grandparents to stop by and visit at any time.

Today’s Life does not provide transportation of any kind. All field trips and planned activities are in-house.

Daily care and well-being of each child at the center is communicated through an app throughout the day.

Toddlers are supervised at all times during their attendance at the center. Each room is designed so all children are visible without any obstruction by teachers and aides throughout the day.

The first step is to schedule a tour of the center and meet with the center director. If parents are interested in enrolling or hold a spot, we will require a registration fee and first week tuition to be paid. Parents will be given an enrollment agreement to sign and an enrollment packet to go home with.

Today’s Life follows USDA guidelines for childcare centers and serves nutritious snacks and meals each day.
