Today’s Life Schools & Childcare is committed to providing the best value in education and premium care for every child. You will find our rates to be competitive, and in most cases, less expensive than other local centers.

Our child development teachers all have degrees in child development, early childhood education, or they have valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials, and have exceeded the qualifications set by state law. All of our quality staff members are fingerprinted and must pass a background check every two years.

Our staff is well trained and up-to-date on Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) classes before they even start working with our childcare facility and continue to renew their certifications on a yearly basis. All staff is trained in first aid every three years and CPR every two years. Upon being hired, each child development teacher goes through a full orientation and a two-week basic training program. In addition, each teacher receives the required amount of in-service training every year to stay current on early childhood learning standards.

Our staff to child ratio — infants 4:1 , toddlers 7:1 and preschool 10:1.

We take great care to communicate with parents on a daily basis. In addition to a personal daily update, our child development teachers send regular messages and monthly newsletters to keep you up-to-date on your child’s classroom. Regular conferences give us time to talk in depth about your child’s progress, and your child’s teacher is always available to answer any questions you may have.

We serve infants who are six weeks of age to children who are preparing for kindergarten.

Our toddler, preschool, and pre-k groups have regular instruction and practice in Spanish. During regularly scheduled play and circle time activities, our Spanish language teacher converses with children in a natural way, encouraging them to experiment with new sounds, words and sentences. Some of Today’s Life graduates go on to enter Spanish immersion programs when they begin kindergarten. Whether you decide immersion is right for your family or not, all students benefit from Spanish language experiences that set the stage for advanced proficiency later in life.

Our program is designed to always be preparing your child for the next level. Our child development teachers work together, alongside parents, to ensure goals are met and your child is ready to transition when the time is right.

At Today’s Life, we communicate with you well in advance that your child will begin the transition process to the next classroom. When your child is at the appropriate age, comfortable, and ready for the next classroom, we will begin the transition process. A few months before he or she is officially in the next classroom, we start by having your child visit the next classroom, and then spending half-days, until he or she is fully integrated.

Each day, we provide your child with one, healthy hot lunch and snacks in the morning and afternoon. If your child has dietary restrictions or you would prefer that we use your food, we gladly work with parents and children on special diets.

Until your baby is ready for regular table food, we will follow your own diet plan using your own food. Formula and all infant food is to be provided and prepared by the parents at home and brought to the center.
